SUGGESTED INSTRUCTIONS:
A standard pet dosage of hemp extract is 1 – 5 milligrams (mg) of cannabidiol (hemp extract) for every 10 pounds of body weight. Cedar Meadow Farm’s 600 mg/30ml bottle of Pet hemp extract contains 1mg of hemp extract in each drop.
Place the drop(s) either in food, on a treat, or by mouth. It is recommended to do twice per day, or as directed by a veterinary professional. It’s always best (for people and pets) to start with the lowest dose, according to weight. An easy chart is listed below:
- 10 pounds: 1 milligram hemp extract /1 drop
- 20 pounds: 2 milligrams hemp extract /2 drops
- 30 pounds: 3 milligrams hemp extract /3 drops
- 40 pounds: 4 milligrams hemp extract /4 drops
- 60 pounds: 6 milligrams hemp extract /6 drops
- 80 pounds: 8 milligrams hemp extract /8 drops
- 100 pounds: 10 milligrams hemp extract /10 drops
- 110 pounds: 11 milligrams hemp extract /11 drops
Begin with the starting dose according to weight and increase the dosage by 1mg (1 drop) after three days. If symptoms haven’t improved, and dependent on your pet’s condition, you may have to increase the dosage a few times before you find the therapeutic dose for your pet, so give it some time and patience if you don’t notice positive results right away. We all LOVE our pets and want the best for them in every sense of the word. For Nova my 7 year old black Labrador this includes Cedar Meadow Farms Pet Products.
Nova "tweeked" her left front foot while playing with her other service dogs in training friends at United Disabilities Services Dog Program. Of course our first stop was to her vet to make sure there was not a more serious issue other then a "sprain". Her vet put her on an anti-inflammatory to ease her discomfort. After 2 days of being on it I thought I really wanted a chemical free holistic option for her and contacted Megan at Cedar Meadow Farm.

Cedar Meadow Farm was so helpful and prompt. The hemp oil helped with Rosie's appetite and comfort during advance liver disease. I only wish I had started earlier. Unfortunately due to the late stage disease we had to say our goodbyes to our beloved Rosie. I would definitely recommend this company and product over and over again. I discovered this product at the Pennsylvania farm show. I was familiar with cbd for dogs since it gave my Marley 1.5 years of extra time with us. The vet said there was no more he could do and to have him put down. It helped his discomfort and appetite. I started my other dog on this product to help with some achy legs he gets. Also, he is a very picky eater and he has no problem with the flavor of this product.
